SORRY

So, I haven't posted in a very, very, very long time. A lots been happening. For starters Junior Miss was last Saturday and I got SECOND! I'm kinda relieved it's over though. Then Tuesday my mom went and bought Tangled, my new official favorite Disney movie of all time. Another plus, this was Arts Fest week so a bunch of my classes went easy on me. To top it all off I just got back from Mr. MHS. Admittedly I didn't approve of who they picked as the winner but it made for a funny night. That's my life so far in a nutshell!

Spring Break

One of those weeks that just seem to fly by. It's absolutely insane. Between Junior Miss practice, building closets, sanding part of my room, and trying to have some fun life has gotten a little bit out of hand. In any case I have had fun driving my siblings insane with songs from different musicals. How anyone could prefer a Hannah Montana song over A Change In Me from Beauty and the Beast is a mystery to me.
Speaking of mysteries, I have one of my own that's been puzzling me. Last night I had a dream about a boy. Real shocker right. Anyway, in this dream there was one part where bandits or robbers came in and this boy and I were about to be forced to get married and it was just so real, well, except for the fact that the inside of the White House turned out to be a storeroom... Moving on, in that part of the dream there was one time where the boy had a chance to escape; but he chose to stay, he chose me instead of freedom. The weirdest thing of all, in the dream I was seriously in love with him. Oh, and to top it all off, I know that he goes to my school, I just can't remember which of all the boys who go to my school it was. Oh, and he was LDS too... That lowers it down to what, 15 boys. Bother, so last night in my dream I fell in love with someone and now I can't remember who it was. I wonder if he'll show up again tonight... I hope he does. Even though it's ridiculous I'd like to know who it is I fell in love with last night...

Here Comes Break

I know I haven't posted in forever; but life's just been... crazy. I am SO GLAD Spring Break is almost here. Without that to look forwards to I don't know how I'd get through tomorrow. Just one more day to get through. One more day with just one more Trig quiz. I can do this.

Makeup

I have discovered that there is something that people notice even more than a hair cut. Makeup. Eyeliner to be exact. For the first time I wore eyeliner on both my top and bottom lashes and it was ridiculous how many comments I got.
"You look very nice."
"I like your eyeliner."
"Did you do something differently? In any case it looks good."
"You look great today; and I'm not just saying that because you have cookies."
Then came the really strange comment.
"Wow Emily, you look...feral... You know, wild."
"Um... okay... I'm not sure if that's a compliment or an insult."
"No, I like it. It's a good look for you."
"Still not sure if that's a compliment."
Yeah, that was weird. In any case I had a very good day; but I might wear just a little less eyeliner tomorrow. I don't think I like looking "feral".

"Family Emergency"

I got called out of 5th period Chemistry for a "Family Emergency". It wasn't until I was picked up by my mom that I discovered this "emergency" involved a new set of rollers, and a HUGE bag of heavy duty makeup. Two hours later my hair looked amazing and my face... Well lets just say that it looked like I'd gone a little crazy; but it looks great in pictures! In other words, I LOVE FAMILY EMERGENCIES!!!!

Chick Flick Books

I like cartoon chick flick books. I'm not saying they're amazing literature. I'm not even saying they're good; but when I need to laugh at something so absolutely ridiculous and cute that I won't find it anywhere else, I know where to turn. Honest to goodness I think the real reason I like them is because that's the way I've convinced myself love should be. Two people should just fall in love and in the end it should all work out. I know that's totally unrealistic; but I suppose that's why I love to read about it. At least I get to live out my modern day fairy tale for a few hours.
