FHE

Family Home Evening. The Mormon's Monday night. I love it and all, it's just one of those traditions that you grow up with and always kind of look forwards to in the back of your mind. Except for when you have lesson. I had lesson tonight; and it was one of those times when your mind just comes up with a blank. I could always reteach a church or seminary lesson; but none of them seemed to fit FHE. The simple answer, Mormon Message! Those simple videos that make it so you can just say a few short words and then press the play button. They save my life. I love FHE, just not when I have to give the lesson.

Sacrament Meeting

Today was a rather normal Sunday. Get up, get ready for church... Normal. The difference was that today, we couldn't get Dexter to come inside. We can't leave the house until he's in because he would follow us all the way to the highway; it's happened before. Because of this we ended up finally arriving at church just before Sacrament Meeting started. As usual by this time almost all the seats were taken. There was a bit of room on the front bench so we sat there. Then came the problem that when Aiden was done passing the Sacrament there was no room for him where we were sitting. He just sat down on the bench where the Deacons wait to pass the sacrament and ignored us. Mom felt bad, so she tried to get Collin to go and sit next to him. No way, Collin absolutely refuses. Then I feel kind of bad so I get up and go sit next to him. When I sit down he says, "What are you doing here?" I just smile and said, "You looked lonely." "Go away." I ignore him and listen to the speaker, typical Aiden. A few minutes later I'm surprised when Erin and Collin come over to sit next to me. Apparently I'm a much less intimidating bench partner than Aiden. So the rest of Sacrament meeting there were the four of us on a side bench and my Mom and Dad in the front row of the center bench. They kept on looking back at us and trying not to laugh. I have to admit we must have made quite a picture with Aiden pretending we don't exist, Erin sleeping on my lap, and Collin being Collin. I love strange sacrament meetings.

Moscow's Distinguised Young Women's Program

Who are you trying to kid, just call it Junior Miss for crying out loud! Anyways this morning was the first official Junior Miss practice. It involved 50 painful push-ups, some not quite so painful sit-ups, and LOTS of tripping around in high heels. I never realized just how hard it is to walk properly; or how to sit gracefully. Oh, and I mustn't forget the Hoedown Throwdown! All in all, it was fun. Lots of girls laughing as they tripped over their own two feet. The time could be more convenient... but all in all... I LOVE IT!

Babysitting

I just got home from babysitting two of the CUTEST KIDS EVER! They laughed and smiled, threw a deflated beach ball with me, and helped to build castles out of blocks and then push them down. I love those two. What a great way to spend an evening; and I got paid for it! Babysitting, one of the greatest inventions of all time.

Amazing

Today was just one of those amazing days where everything goes right. I got a 100% on my History Quiz, managed to write a creepy scene I'm quite proud of in French class, got two books for my ELI, and spent the rest of school at Poetry Out Loud. I just feel so, good about myself. Now let's see if I have accomplished all the things my blog is about:

1)I lived by doing something other than school work to prove that I do have a life.

2) I laughed about cute ways to ask guys to dances.

3) You could say that there was love in the creepy scene I wrote today... but I don't think it's supposed to be that kind of love. How about this, I LOVE TODAY!

All New

So, I finally figured out how to do the nice blog background... Yeah, I'm not really sure why it took me so long. In any case I officially LOVE the new look and am dedicating myself to try and post at least once a week. I don't yet know if I'll be successful; but that's just the way life is sometimes. In any case I consider it a very late New Years Resolution. A New Blog Resolution in my case. Now as for a good brief about anything exciting today... For mutual we went to Pullman to watch a presentation by the author of Three Cups of Tea. It was absolutely fascinating (despite the fact that I was passing notes the entire time) and now I feel inspired to read his book. Well, as soon as I get my homework done... Right... That could be a problem. I think that's all for now!
