All New

So, I finally figured out how to do the nice blog background... Yeah, I'm not really sure why it took me so long. In any case I officially LOVE the new look and am dedicating myself to try and post at least once a week. I don't yet know if I'll be successful; but that's just the way life is sometimes. In any case I consider it a very late New Years Resolution. A New Blog Resolution in my case. Now as for a good brief about anything exciting today... For mutual we went to Pullman to watch a presentation by the author of Three Cups of Tea. It was absolutely fascinating (despite the fact that I was passing notes the entire time) and now I feel inspired to read his book. Well, as soon as I get my homework done... Right... That could be a problem. I think that's all for now!

California

I have learned that in order to truly appreciate a white Christmas you need to come to somewhere like CA. Just yesterday my grandmother was talking to a little boy and mentioned the lack of snow. He told her that when they wanted snow, all they had to do was go to the mountains. The mountains are and hour away! My aunt Cathy (that's who we're visiting) likes to say that in California the snow knows where it belongs. Well, for me this is the first green Christmas I've had in... what... 5 years? Maybe more... WOW...

American Coins

Ready for a funny story... here goes.
For the past year my mom has been gathering all of her change in a Christmas Jar to give to someone in need. Well, today we were counting it and, noticing how many quarters there were, I decided to see if I could find all 50 states. Well, after 1 hr. 30 min. of searching through all those coins TWICE, I have uncovered all of the fifty states, except for Arkansas. I am mad.

Thanksgiving

The funny thing about Thanksgiving, is that no matter how much goes wrong, from pumpkin pies that take 3 hours to bake to a turkey that got a bit too well done, you still finish off the day with a smile.

e=mc2

It has been decided that e=mc2 is really eggnog=macaroni & cheese2. Oh, and the proper way to say taco is thaco. Yep, I love group Chemistry tests.

Time

Time can be so annoying. I'll be looking at my watch waiting for something to load and think "one Mississippi... two Mississippi... three Mississippi..." and feel like each second takes forever. Then that night I'll look back at my day and say where did all that time go! Time is so deceptive.

NEVER

1) Admit to your brother that something he did scared you. If you do he will never stop.

2) Bake an Apple Pie the Saturday night before Fast Sunday. Waiting all day with the prospect of pie makes it twice as hard.

3) Put off Cornell notes. DEATH!
